BUILDING A DATA4GOOD COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

In addition to our consultancy work with individual clients, Data Orchard is active in sector-wide and place-based Data4Good initiatives.

Data4Good Community of Practice

Our Data4Good work in the not-for-profit sector operates locally, nationally and internationally through partnerships, research, events, online publishing and social media. Following our research in 2016-17 on data maturity in the sector we’ve continued to work nationally to champion the Data4Good cause and build partnerships and communities to share knowledge, good practice and expertise.

Data4Good Partnership

We’re delighted to say Data Orchard is not alone is trying to address the needs and challenges of the not-for-profit sector when it comes to data (just as well because it’s quite a big job!). We’ve partnered with a whole group of other not-for-profits who share our interest in building the sector’s data capabilities and offer complimentary support services to ours.

Data Orchard is currently leading the development of a national strategy with the Data4Good partners. These include:

  • 360 Giving

  • Datakind UK

  • NCVO

  • NPC

  • Pro Bono Economics

  • RnR Organisation

  • Tech Trust (Charity Digital)

  • The Operational Research Society

  • The Royal Statistical Society

Other partners/funders CAST, The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Comic Relief are currently working with us on developing a strategy.
