National Data4Good Conference

In November 2018 we coordinated ten national partners to deliver the first ever UK Data4Good Conference for the non-profit sector, by the non-profit sector in Birmingham.

The event sold out and more than 240 people created a real energy and buzz on the day. We were delighted to bring together the diversity of people and organisations we’d hoped for – not-for-profit leaders and funders, and data people from organisations of every size and (almost) every corner of the UK. We even had a few delegates from Belgium and Germany. It felt like the start of something amazing… so we’re already cooking up plans for the next one.

In particular the conference was a great opportunity to showcase a whole range of examples of good practice, share fantastic resources, and raise some of the new challenges around responsibilities and ethics in data.

Read all about the conference in this blog post, explore the tweets from the day, or visit the Data4Good 2018 Conference website for more information.
