Chair of the board

Suraj Vadgama is Director of Design at Nesta, the UK’s innovation agency for social good. He first joined Data Orchard’s board in 2020, stepping into the newly created Vice Chair role in 2022, and taking over from Nancy James as Chair of the Board in January 2024.

Suraj is a product-minded designer and developer. Which means he does a mix of product leadership, design, and software development.

He's successfully led the design, development and growth of digital products - many with a focus on data and the charity sector. As well as supported numerous organisations with product development and digital transformation. He brings a wealth of real world experience on what it takes to develop digital products that deliver value.

Suraj is passionate about creating digital products and services that meet the needs of users and stakeholders whilst having a positive social impact.
