For an organisation to get better at using data, everyone in the organisation needs to be confident in collecting and interpreting data.

This ‘train the trainer’ course provides you with everything you need to deliver our data confidence training ‘Key data skills for everyone’ within your own organisation

• The opportunity to experience the data confidence course and then to practice ways in which you would deliver each workshop in your organisation.

How it's delivered

The course is delivered online using Teams.

Sessions take place over 8 weeks with each session lasting two hours.

Participants work in small groups for much of the session, recording discussions in shared documents and reporting back to the full group at the end of the sessions.

The course is appropriate for people with data roles in an organisation who will be tasked with rolling out data confidence training to non data specialists in their organisation.

• Ben Proctor: Ben is our Innovation Director. He has over 20 years experience as a facilitator and trainer and has designed and delivered specialist training courses for a wide range of organisations including universities, public bodies and nonprofit organisations. More about Ben

Data Orchard CIC has a deep understanding of how data is currently being used in the nonprofit sector. We have been pioneering research on data maturity since 2015, developed the world’s first data maturity framework and assessment for the not for profit sector (which was later used by the UK government to build their own), and publish annual ‘State of the Sector - Data Maturity in the Nonprofit Sector’ reports. We also have a good understanding of the challenges faced by nonprofit sector organisations where resources are tight and need to be deployed carefully.
